This trip is especially recommended for people who can not afford longer trips because of lack of time. This is a short but very intense trip. The program can vary depending on the age and interests of the guests. However, it is still the case that we offer a varied program within a short trip, during which you can get to know not only the city itself, but also the hinterland and enjoy the beautiful nature of a mountain region. Even the right gourmets will surely get their money’s worth – regional specialties tempt even the pampered palates. Within a very short time you will get to know people, the city and nature of the country with all contrasts and opposites.
Lviv und Umgebung

Day 1

In Lviv airport, you are welcomed by our English-speaking tour guide. After a check-in in a hotel we start our nearly two-hour bicycle tour in Lviv city center. During our guided tour, we explore the diversity of architectural styles of Lviv churches and courtyards, we visit Armenian and Jewish quarters, Rynok Square, Ivan Franko University, St. George Cathedral and of course famous Opera House. In the evening, we enjoy dinner together.

Day 2

In the morning, the bus picks us and we head south to the city of Mykolaiv. Near the town we get off the bus and ride there on bicycles. Before us lies picturesque land on river Dnister. Near village of Veryn we ride through the national park. In this village you will see officially the oldest tree in the whole Western Ukraine – a splendid specimen, nearly thousand year old oak. 7 km. further is the village Rozdil where is situated grand but dilapidated palace of the Polish nobleman which dates back to the 18 c. Slowly, we approach to the climax of today’s route. In the villages Dubrova and Stiljsjko, we will find the remains of a prehistoric settlement with a cave city and mysterious and enigmatic pagan sacrificial sites. There, we will also explore a hunting cave, which was inhabited more than 45 thousand years ago.
After a short traditional Ukrainian lunch, we will ride to the town of Drohobych. This route offers a lot to see. In the village Krynyzja, we will visit a wooden church of 17 c. On our way to Drohobych, we will also pay a short visit to Korosnyzja village which originally was a German settlement Josefsberg. Although the local German population has already emigrated we can still notice unmistakable traces of German architectural style. Present inhabitants of the village know the history of their village and they will willingly show us the school built by Germans, a couple of half-timbered houses and German cemetery.
