Day 1
Flight to Yerevan. Transfer to a hotel. Overnight in Yerevan. Here we start our first acquaintance with our initial destination – Armenia.
Day 2
We start our acquaintance with the Caucasus from a city tour around the Armenian capital,which is one of the oldest cities in the world (founded in 782 BC). Worth seeing is the Archaeological Site of Zvartnots – the ruins of the cathedral built in the 7th century that is now on UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. After that, we visit Echmiatzin, the most ancient Christian place of worship in Armenia, the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Day 3
After breakfast, we head for province Ararat to explore the castle Khor Virap. The castle at the foot of Ararat is where Grigor Luisavorich (St. Gregory the Illuminator) was consecrated. Thereafter, we set off to explore Noravank, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, we invite you to wine tasting in one of Armenian winery regions Areni. Here, you get a unique chance to inspect closely the everyday life of Armenians. Back in Yerevan, we spend the rest of the day by sharing dinner and enjoying live Armenian music.
